Vegging Out
Tuesday, January 11, 2011
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Healthy People 2010 data, only six percent of men and four percent of women eat enough vegetables. How sad is that? Especially when there are so many delicious and easy ways to incorporate more veggies into your diet. Of course, fresh local veggies are nice, but when it comes down to it simplicity and speed are huge determining factors for whether veggies make it onto your plate. Frozen veggies are a nutritious and easy alternative! They're inexpensive, last for months in the freezer, and can be purchased already chopped and ready to go! Here's a great article on CNN's Eatocracy with more ideas for incorporating more vegetables into your diet!: http://eatocracy.cnn.com/2011/01/10/vegetables-eat-them-heres-how/
